The Fifth International Workshop “Information Fusion and Geographical Information: Towards the Digital Ocean”
Workshop Objectives. The objective of the here announced IF&GIS Workshop is to consider the development of Geographic Information Systems’ science with a specific relation with Artificial Intelligent Science (AI), Corporate Information Systems (CIS), and computational developments. The scope of the IF&GIS workshop integrates several research issues from the, modeling, analysis, information processing and its integration with related scientific domains. In particular, we expect the workshop to address scientific challenges from different or pluri-disciplinary points of view. Expected contributions should come from a wide range of disciplines including Geography and Geoinformation Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cognitive Science, Engineering and Human Factors, and Architecture, Planning, and Environmental Design. The proposed Workshop scope includes though not limited to the below listed subjects. Artificial Intelligence and GIS; GIS ontologies; GIS data modeling, harmonization, integration and fusion; GIS and Corporate Information Systems; GIS and real-time monitoring systems; GIS algorithms and computational issues; Novel and emerging GIS research areas. Workshop Venue. According to the agreement with our French colleagues the IF&GIS’2011 Workshop there was a part of "SAFER SEAS III- 2011" in May 10–11, 2011, Brest, France. Workshop Language: English & French IF&GIS program included:
Paper publication: the Workshop Proceedings is published by Springer-Verlag in series Lecture Notes in Geoinformation and Cartography. Preliminary proceedings is available in CD-version at the Research laboratory of object-oriented geo-information systems (OOGIS RL). IF&GIS workshop offers a peer-review procedure for scientific papers. Abstract: The abstract should summarize the contents of the paper and contain at least 70 and at most 150 words. It should be written using the abstract environment (go to http://oogis.ru/send). Key words: Please list your keywords within the abstract section.
